One in six employees will experience a mental health problem each year, and stress is thought to be responsible for almost half of all working days lost in the UK.
At Hanson we strive to provide safe working conditions for all our employees. We have over 130 mental health first aiders, trained to support their colleagues in the workplace and help us create a culture of wellbeing at work.
We also have a health and wellbeing specialist, who works across our business to help raise awareness of mental health issues and ensure best practice is implemented across our sites.
Our employees also have access to Health Assured, an employee assistance programme (EAP), which includes a free, 24-hour helpline.
