We are working hard to improve the gender balance within our business. As part of our 2030 commitments, we have set a target of 20 per cent of our workforce being women by 2030 and 25 per cent of our senior roles filled by women by 2025.
Recruiting and retaining women in construction is a challenge common across the sector, but it is recognised that having a more equitable gender balance can increase positivity, lead to better problem solving and enable all to progress their careers.
We are confident that we offer equal pay but acknowledge we have a gender pay gap. This is predominantly due to having fewer women in senior roles and in the operational production roles that attract weekly bonuses and shift premiums – an imbalance we are working hard to address.
