Meet Miriam

Meet Miriam

After completing a master’s degree in chemical and process engineering, Miriam joined our graduate trainee management programme and works at our Ribblesdale cement works in Lancashire. She has been involved in a number of industry-leading projects, including a world first trial using hydrogen to create a net zero fuel mix to power a cement kiln at Ribblesdale and the proposed carbon capture and storage project at Padeswood.

“These projects have given me the opportunity to use and develop the skills I gained at university and the support I have received from my colleagues has been amazing,” said Miriam.

“Each year there are more and more women working in science and engineering roles within the business, which is great to see. The company is committed to gender equality and creating a diverse and inclusive workforce and I have been welcomed with open arms.”
